AT THE Peoples Hub we pride ourselves for representing all things candid, original, wholesome and conscious. Especially in the circles of art and music.
That’s why we are proud of our work with Zimbabwean battle rapper, mUnetsi, whose smash 2012 hit, Ghetto Slogan, cemented its classic-status by opening up an episode of the reputed Nomadic Wax Planet Hip Hop TV music show last week.
The raw and gritty flick, shot by Mr. Boomslang and produced by The Peoples Hub, sees one of Africa’s leading freestyle MCs at the top of his game as he projects Zimbabwe’s street life while spitting in his native Shona. The good folks at Nomadic Wax in turn, do a good job in subtitling the lyrics in English for a global audience.

Nomadic Wax ’s Planet Hip Hop series were produced as part of the One Mic: Hip-Hop Culture Worldwide arts festival, currently taking place at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (March 25 – April 13, 2014) in Washington DC, U.S.A.
Through the shows, the US-based enterprise is showcasing some of the world’s most exciting socially conscious hip-hop artists. Each episode of Planet Hip Hop features music videos from the hip-hop diaspora—and was hosted by DC-based Zimbabwean rapper Dumi Right from the pioneering group, Zimbabwe Legit.
